Labine was a Human female living on Tatooine during the Cold War. She was the prisoner of a group of desert-worshiping cannibals. They held Labine her in a cave out in the Dune Sea, where she treated them for the laughing sickness. She encountered a smuggler and Corso Riggs when they came looking for a male Twi'lek named Jettison, who was being held by the cult.^[1]
