Atren was a Human male son of Darth Atroph and a Sith Lord himself who served the resurgent Sith Empire during the Galactic War. Stationed on Belsavis during 3641 BBY, he tasked an Imperial hero to free a group of insane Jedi being guarded by a Jedi Master Averon. Atren hoped that the maddened Jedi would bring further chaos to the Belsavis prison once released.[1]
