"If I can't have the materials from Vandelhelm... they're not going to end up refitting the Alliance fleet!"
―Mordur[1]

Mordur was an Imperial admiral during the Galactic Civil War. In 4 ABY—after the Empire's climactic defeat in the Battle of Endor—Mordur was involved in a plot to undermine the Alliance of Free Planets' control of the key shipbuilding world of Vandelhelm. Working out of a converted drone barge, Mordur conspired with Metalsmiths Guild Guildmaster Orrk to eliminate the "Venerated Ones," two child royals, thus allowing them to take full control of Vandelhelm's metal exports. Their plan was foiled by the slick piloting of Alliance agent Han Solo, who brought the Venerated Ones safely to Vandelhelm, killing Orrk after exposing his treachery. In response, Mordur set Vandelhelm's fleet of drone barges to fly into the system's star, but Solo prevented this plot as well.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Mordur appeared as an antagonist in Star Wars (1977) 98, written by Archie Goodwin, illustrated by Al Williamson and released in 1985.[1]
