Nippet was a female Ewok who lived on the forest moon of Endor. She was the daughter of Lumat and Zephee and the sister of Latara and Wiley.

As a wokling, Nippet (along with Wiley) accidentally helped their babysitters Wicket Wystri Warrick and Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka find a large quantity of rainbow berries just before the Harvest Moon Festival, in a year when no one had been able to find any of the beloved berries. The woklings were celebrated by the whole village, as a result.[1]

Nippet was also once captured during the Stranglethorn crisis but was saved by Kneesaa, Wicket, and the Tromes.[2] In 4 ABY, the evening before the Battle of Endor, Nippet was present in Bright Tree Village when the Ewoks captured the Heroes of Yavin. She watched as C-3PO, pretending to be the Ewoks' god, recounted the earlier years of the Galactic Civil War.

The name Nippet was first used for this wokling in the mini-storybook The Baby Ewoks' Picnic Surprise, in 1984, just predating its first use on screen in the animated series the following year.[1]

For many years, fans speculated[3] that Nippet was the wokling sitting in a basket in Return of the Jedi, since Nippet was confirmed to have been in the film.[4] However, this remained officially unconfirmed until Hasbro's 2008 figure (packaged with Leektar) confirmed that Nippet was in fact that wokling.[5]

Nippet was one of six 8-inch plush woklings made by Kenner based upon the six woklings seen in Return of the Jedi. While the character names of Malani, Nippet, and Wiley were established prior in the Ewoks television series, the other three—Mookiee, Leeni, and Gwig—have yet to be attributed to their respective characters seen in Return of the Jedi.
