R2-D0 (Artoo-Deo), or Deo, was Tiree's R2-model astromech utility droid. Deo escaped from the various scrapes Tiree was caught in, and assisted several groups of Rebel agents in rescuing Tiree.

He also helped rookie Rebel pilots navigate the abandoned mine within Mesa 291 on Bothawui and contained coordinates to rendezvous with General Lens Reekeene's command ship, Home.

Biography[]

R2-D0 was an R2-series astromech droid serving the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. He was partnered with Agent Tay Vanis, more commonly known as "Tiree". Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Vanis and R2-D0 were scheduled to meet with a group of prospective new recruits at Mesa 291 on Bothawui. However, the meeting was discovered by Imperial Security Bureau agent Mar Barezz. Vanis attempted to draw off Barezz and the Imperial presence, leaving R2-D0 and some supplies behind at the meeting point. R2-D0 was directed to lead the recruits through the abandoned lidium mine to escape craft, and he held the coordinates to a Rebel base. The recruits successfully made their way through the mine with R2-D0's help to a group of hidden BTL Y-wing starfighters. An injured Vanis was also found there, and R2-D0 interfaced with one of the Y-wing's droid sockets to provide the location of the hidden Rebel base for their escape.^[1]
