An RK-9 soil devastator was a type of chemical weapon that was used by the Sith Empire during the Cold War to ravage the soil of enemy farmland, rendering it incapable of supporting life. Lieutenant Torsin's unit was given soil devastators in case they were unable to capture the Stillwater Farms on Balmorra, and Imperial forces used the soil devastators after Torsin's squad was killed.
