Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

"It's time to hit the Mummers at their base. If we, and by we I mean you, can hit them hard enough, the Mummers will be unable to consider future terrorist attacks. At least for a while, anyway."
Sergeant Brunser, to a spacer[4]

The Raid on the Mummers' bunker was a mission delegated to agents of the Royal Naboo Security Forces during the Galactic Civil War.

Background[]

"We identified the terrorists almost immediately; it was the Mummers. They never suspected that their communications were tapped, or maybe they just didn't care."
―Sergeant Bragg, to a spacer[7]

While known as a peaceful haven prior to the rule of Palpatine, Naboo became infested with criminal gangs and organizations during the rule of the Galactic Empire. At the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Mummers were a strong presence on the planet. Sergeant Bragg of the RSF Intelligence Division had gathered that, in addition to their usual bootlegging, the Mummers were involved in a terrorist attack in the capital city of Theed.[7] RSF officer Harriet Brunser came up with a simple plan to solve this problem: namely, to raid the Mummers' headquarters outside of Theed.[4] However, Mummers were known to often use toxins in combat. Lieutenant Dunnels, a RSF science officer, was thus tasked to produce neural boosters to help protect against the Mummers' toxins during the attack.[6]

The raid[]

"Start by going to their base and softening up their defenses. After that, you'll go after their leadership, but I'll let you know when to pursue that."
―Sergeant Brunser, to a spacer[4]

Brunser dispatched an unknown number of RSF troopers to raid the bunker in a mission consisting of three stages. The objective of the first stage was to thin the Mummer numbers by eliminating some of its most dangerous members. From her command post in the Theed Hangar, Brunser ordered the RSF agents to specifically aim at killing Mummer Salvers, Toxers, and Banes, whom she considered to be essential to the Mummers' terror operation.[4]

Having disposed of a large proportion of Mummers, the RSF agents were ordered by Brunser to locate and disarm nine dangerous biochemical bombs, which were scattered all over the Mummer base. The bombs were intended to be an integral part of the Mummers' terror operation. Subsequently, the RSF agents received an order from Brunser to locate and destroy the local Mummer leaders, the Chief Scientist Crimsol Vaighn and the Commander Jaye Hawkson. The RSF agents succeeded in assassinating both leaders, and subsequently escaping the base.[4]

Aftermath[]

"Excellent work, trooper. The terrorists have been neutralized. I think the Mummers will be less of a problem for quite a while."
―Sergeant Brunser, to a trooper[4]

The raid left the Mummers severely crippled, rendering them unable to complete their planned terror operations.[4] The RSF agents were recommended and were dispatched on many other missions against the Mummers and the other criminal organizations pestering the lives of the peaceful residents of Naboo.[3]

  5. According to its opening crawl, Star Wars Galaxies was set sometime after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The only precise time indication in the game was given by the character Ruwan Tokai, who referenced the destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin as occurring one year earlier, placing the game sometime around 1 ABY. Later, multiple elements confirmed the placement of the game storyline in 1 ABY. First, The Essential Reader's Companion established that the tie-in novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine took place in 1 ABY. Furthermore, the game expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees was set during the Blockade of Kashyyyk, one year after the Battle of Yavin according to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Additionally, the main scenario of The Nightsister's Revenge from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game was set over a year before the Battle of Hoth (3 ABY), so around 1.5 ABY. Finally, the reference book Strongholds of Resistance placed the events of Star Wars Galaxies's Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" one year after the Battle of Yavin. Of note, Galaxies's Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" introduced the Battle of Hoth in the game. However, the developers were quite clear that this was only intended to be a completely isolated "Star Wars Moment" without any effect on continuity for the rest of the game.
