Rebel Assault Commandos were elite troops of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. They wore Rebel battle armor and were armed with blaster weapons. After the Battle of Yavin, these commandos patrolled various locations controlled by the Alliance around the galaxy. In addition, they participated in the Invasions of Bestine on Tatooine, Dearic on Talus and Keren on Naboo.[1]

Rebel Assault Commandos were non-player characters in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[2] Rebel Assault Commandos were added to the game upon the release of the "Game Update 15," published on January 25, 2010.[3]
