Simmons was a soldier in the Republic Army who led a squad during the Battle of Corellia between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. During one part of the battle, Simmons was in contact with Colonel Tott via holocomm, and was ordered to move the squad out of range of the Imperial artillery in the Axial Park region of Coronet City.
