"I am Tika of the Sileste sept."
―Tika Sileste, to a spacer[1]

Tika Sileste was a Selonian female who lived on Talus during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography[]

"I prefer that you take direct action against these smugglers for their abuse of my den."
―Tika Sileste, to a spacer[1]

Tika Sileste was a Selonian sept who belonged to the Neetha Den. The den inhabited a cave near the city of Nashal, on the planet Talus of the Corellian system.[1]

After the Battle of Yavin, several Selonians of the den were captured by the Talusian Smugglers and kept as hostages in order to force the rest of the den into mining for them.[2] In 1 ABY,[3] the Corellian Security Force was aware of the situation but was unable to intervene in Selonians matters. Agent Taarna thus recruited an independent spacer in order to help the Seloninans without involving the CorSec.[2] The spacer met Kiki Dorente, advisor to the den mother, and the Seloninans accepted the assistance.[4] After the spacer performed a reconnaissance of the Smuggler Base where the den mates where supposedly held, the Selonians developed a strategy against the smugglers. Kiki Dorente sent back the spacer to the smuggler base in order to gather information about the destination of the cargo shuttles leaving the base.[5] Ravi Thienta asked the spacer to recover stolen Selonian's supplies and destroy the smugglers weapons cache.[6] Lika Fimente tasked the spacer to find the captive Selonians in the base.[7] Furthermore, Tika Sileste requested the spacer to eliminate the smuggler guards and destroy the droids in the base. Although the spacer achieved most of the objectives, the assault was only a partial success. The spacer defeated most of the smugglers, including their leader,[1] and crippled their ability to exploit the Selonians.[6] However, the spacer discovered that the captive Selonians had already been shipped to Ord Mantell and sold as slaves.[7] As the situation with the smugglers was solved, the spacer eventually returned to the Selonian cave and was rewarded by Tika Sileste.[1]

  3. According to its opening crawl, Star Wars Galaxies was set sometime after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The only precise time indication in the game was given by the character Ruwan Tokai, who referenced the destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin as occurring one year earlier, placing the game sometime around 1 ABY. Later, multiple elements confirmed the placement of the game storyline in 1 ABY. First, The Essential Reader's Companion established that the tie-in novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine took place in 1 ABY. Furthermore, the game expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees was set during the Blockade of Kashyyyk, one year after the Battle of Yavin according to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Additionally, the main scenario of The Nightsister's Revenge from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game was set over a year before the Battle of Hoth (3 ABY), so around 1.5 ABY. Finally, the reference book Strongholds of Resistance placed the events of Star Wars Galaxies's Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" one year after the Battle of Yavin. Of note, Galaxies's Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" introduced the Battle of Hoth in the game. However, the developers were quite clear that this was only intended to be a completely isolated "Star Wars Moment" without any effect on continuity for the rest of the game.
