Along with Phil Fondacaro, Felix Silla, Clive Revill and Jason Wingreen, Flanagan was involved in both a Star Wars film and an episode of Star Trek, having played Juliana Tainer in Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Inheritance", Enina Tandro in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Dax", and Ambassador V'Lar in Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Fallen Hero".

Recently, she portrayed Eloise Hawking in ABC's TV show Lost.
