The First Battle of Iridonia occurred during the Mandalorian Wars in the year 3,963 BBY. As a Mid Rim world that was situated near important hyperspace lanes, Iridonia was one of the key worlds that connected the Outer Rim to the Inner Rim. As such, it was one of the first Republic worlds attacked during the Mandalorian invasion of the Galactic Republic.

The Zabrak defended their homeworld with reckless abandon during the initial stages of the battle and they suffered heavy losses against the Mandalorian invaders.

Later in the same year, the Republic Military liberated Iridonia and the planet joined the Republic's war effort against the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. However, during their occupation, the Mandalorians successfully recruited and indoctrinated many of Iridonia's soldiers.
