The First Battle of Metellos took place in 10 ABY, and involved Imperial strikes against the strategic energy-producing world of Metellos, held by the New Republic.

The battleEdit

The Imperial attack against the Metellos system, along with a simultaneous strike against Kaikielius, persuaded the New Republic observers on Coruscant that they could not be confident of holding the planet.

Soon after, the Fourth Battle of Coruscant commenced, which saw the planet's recapture by Imperial commanders loyal to the Imperial Ruling Council.

AftermathEdit

Although the outcome of the first strike on Metellos is unknown, an Imperial armada led by then-Admiral Delvardus would eventually devastate the planet in a ferocious attack, when forces loyal to Emperor Palpatine struck out from the Deep Core as part of Operation Shadow Hand.
