Prelude
Edit
In the aftermath of the Battle of Hoth, the Alliance to Restore the Republic was reeling. Its best starfighter squadron, the Rogues, were sent into battle numerous times. In one such raid, they were sent to The Maw to search for an Imperial prison.
The battle

Space battle
Edit
In their Y-wings, Wedge Antilles and Rogues 3 and 4 detected a group of Imperial tankers, and their presence was revealed. TIE/ln starfighters approached the Rebel starfighters and demanded their surrender. They received no response from the Rebel pilots, who continued on towards their target: a shield projected around an asteroid which housed the prison facility. Antilles disabled the shield protecting the facility and the Rogues descended towards the base on the surface of the asteroid, avoiding the space-borne mines.
Engaging facility defense forces
Edit
Karie Neth and a number of other Rebel prisoners captured after the Imperial assault on Hoth had managed to break out of the facility, but were desperate for support in order to escape safely. Neth sent out a message begging for someone to hear her. Luckily, Rogue Squadron had just made it to the facility and responded. Neth identified herself as the leader of the prisoners and asked Antilles and his wingmen to destroy the guard towers protecting the prison building.
Antilles sent his wingmen to attack the TIE Fighters and TIE Interceptors, while he destroyed the towers protecting the prison and the weapons storage building so the already freed prisoners could free the remaining prisoners and so they can stock up on weapons, respectively. After taking out the comm array so the base could not contact a nearby Star Destroyer patrol, he flew to the other side of the base at the hangars and destroyed the guns there so the prisoners could hijack an escape craft. He also bombed Imperial walkers, adding to the general mayhem. Flying oveer the prison command buildings, he bombed them as well, and was able to recover technology useful to the Rebellion. Traveling in an Armored Hover Train hijacked from the Imperials, the prisoners reached the hangars and escaped in a Sentinel-class landing craft. Antilles covered their escape until they could enter hyperspace, and then he and his wingmen hyperspaced out to the fleet in the Outer Rim Territories.
During the escape, the prisoners managed to plant a number of explosive charges along the train track, destroying the facility.
Aftermath
Edit
The Rebel forces were bolstered by the recovery of the prisoners. Karie Neth would provide valuable intelligence and went back to flying for the Rebellion.
