The Flacharia system was a star system[2] that was located within the Wild Space region of the galaxy.[1] In the year 22 ABY,[3] the Human male technician Dean Jinzler intercepted a message from Chaf'orm'bintrano, an Aristocra of the sentient Chiss species, that was intended for the Human Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and was being transmitted through the sector communications relay post on the planet Comra. Jinzler took a courier starship from the relay post and headed for the rendezvous point mentioned in the message. However, the ship's hyperdrive broke down in the Flacharia system, leading Jinzler to think he would be stranded there for more than a week. At that point, the Human Jorj Car'das arrived in the system in his own starship and picked Jinzler up, transporting him to the rendezvous point in the Crustai system.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Flacharia system was first mentioned in the novel Survivor's Quest,[2] written by Timothy Zahn and published on February 3, 2004.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the system in grid square H-6.[5]
