Flag Lieutenant was a rank within most space navies, particularly the Galactic Alliance Defense Force. The specific title referred to a lieutenant who had been assigned as the aide of a ranking fleet commander, usually an admiral. During the later stages of the Second Galactic Civil War of 40 ABY, Tahiri Veila served as the flag lieutenant for Colonel Jacen Solo.
