"Hahaha! You are on fire and also dead."
0-0-0, to a group of battle droids that BT-1 destroyed with his flamethrower in Geonosian hive-mind[src]

Flamethrowers were weapons that fired streams or bursts of fire. Although they were often used as an anti-personnel weapon, as in the case of the wrist-mounted flamethrower owned by bounty hunter Jango Fett,[3] some individuals, like the Dug Podracer pilot Sebulba, mounted flamethrowers onto vehicles. Sebulba used his flamethrower as a weapon against other Podracers to help him illegally win the Boonta Eve Classic.[4]

History

A millennia-old infantry mainstay, flametroopers were modernized by Mandalorian supercommandoes and Republic-era clone troopers during the Clone Wars.[8]

Flamethrowers were used during the Clone Wars by clone flame troopers,[9] during the Galactic Civil War by Imperial flametroopers, and during the First Order–Resistance conflict by First Order flametroopers.[6]
