Flashpoint Stellar Research Station, commonly known as Flashpoint Station, was a Galactic Republic research space station operational around four thousand years before the Battle of Yavin. Its function was ostensibly to study nearby stars.

The station was located on a planet very close to its star, on which a day lasted just one standard hour. A magnetic field protected it from the intense heat and radiation. The planet was in the Outer Rim, between Mandalore and Vanquo.

In the year 3,964 BBY, during the Mandalorian Wars, the Mandalorian forces of Mandalore the Ultimate seized control of the station during the Battle of Flashpoint Station, a minor attack leading into a larger Mandalorian assault at the Fourth battle of Suurja. Demagol, a Mandalorian scientist studying Jedi and the Force, took residence at Flashpoint.

Shortly thereafter, Jarael was imprisoned there by the Mandalorians. Believing she was a Jedi because she was disguised as Q'Anilia and wielded Zayne Carrick's lightsaber, they took her to Demagol as a test subject.

The remaining crew of The Last Resort and Rohlan Dyre staged a rescue. Using mining charges to fake a Republic attack they drove the Mandalorians from Flashpoint. After everyone was recovered the remaining charges were used to destroy the station.
