Flight Commander[2] was a role in the Imperial Navy during the reign of the Galactic Empire. A Flight Commander instructed a speeder bike class at the Royal Imperial Academy that included Thane Kyrell, Ciena Ree, and Nash Windrider. Following the Battle of Jakku, Windrider served as a Flight Commander aboard the attack cruiser Garrote.[1] By the time of his death[3] in 5 ABY,[4] Garl Lykan of the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing served as a Flight Commander. At Lykan's funeral, the late pilot's squadronmate Lieutenant Nord Kandende was promoted to Flight Commander in his place.[3]

- ↑ Star Wars: Armada — Interdictor Expansion Pack (Card: Flight Commander)
- ↑ 3.0 3.1 Victory's Price
- ↑ The events of Victory's Price begin after the Cerberon system campaign, and the novel also features the Battle of Jakku at the end of its three main sections. Since Star Wars: Timelines dates both of those conflicts to 5 ABY, the main events of Victory's Price must therefore be set in that year. Furthermore, since Garl Lykan's death takes place before the Battle of Jakku, it must also take place in that year.
