A flight computer was a type of computer used aboard starships, whose primary purpose was translation of the movement of the controls into adjustments to the direction of the ship's thrust.[2] Flight computers could also store information, such as ship schematics and language information,[1] or run programs off datachips, such as flight simulations.[3] The company Torplex manufactured sophisticated flight computers which were used aboard First Order TIE/fo[2] and TIE/sf space superiority fighters[4]
