Luke Skywalker used this power in 36 ABY to resist UnuThul's Force Push, become a theoretically immovable object, to the extent that the black hole at the center of the galaxy could not dislodge him. Leia was also skilled at rooting herself in place with the Force.

Yoda may have used a variant of this power in 19 BBY to render himself and Chuff immovable in a docking station while small ships and objects inside it were pulled out.
