Behind the scenes
Formos was first created for Way of the Wookiee, a Star Wars Legends newspaper comic strip written by Archie Goodwin and released in 1979. The world was confirmed to exist in canon when it appeared on a galactic map included with The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a roleplaying game released by Fantasy Flight Games on August 4, 2016.
