Ok, so if astromech droids are so nice and helpful, and everything is so tech. advanced, then why does the astrogation buffer in even the nicest R-7 droid hold only 15 navigational courses tops? I mean seriously that's pretty lo tech. Is there an explination as to why it is so low in even the nicest one?—Unsigned comment byZinthematrix (talk • contribs).
It's not so low-tech when you consider that the droids have to calculate the gravitational effects of nearly every object in the galaxy larger than a starship on that route. That's actually rather advanced tech, not low tech. jSarek 21:34, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
You also have to consider everything else the R7 has to be capable of, which takes up space. Jasca DucatoSith Council 21:50, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
