Who is Anakin's father? DarthtylerTalk 20:53, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- A Frenchman by the name of M. Chlorian. 24.3.202.85 00:22, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Lucasfilm hasn't named him yet or even suggested he had a daddy. However, some fans believe it was the work of either Darth Plagueis or Darth Sidious which is fanon. Zainal 00:44, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, it's implied canonically but never actually stated. The Ultimate Vader Guide states that Darth Plagueis succeeded in creating a living sentient being through his mastery of Sith alchemy. It is never actually stated that this being was Anakin, but it is very heavily implied, especially considering the early drafts of the Revenge of the Sith script which said it outright. 24.3.202.85 03:40, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's also VERY heavily implied in The New Essential Chronology. jSarek 10:45, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Regardless of who caused his creation, it is implied in the books and films that Anakin was fathered by the Force in a manner suggests ol' George had been browsing the first few chapters of the New Testament. Karohalva the Infallible Pumpkin
- Well, of course. Divine conception is a classic mythological trope long predating the New Testament, and one of the few he *didn't* use in the OT. It only makes sense he'd find a way to squeeze it in in the prequels. jSarek 06:36, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed, it is rife in Greek mythology (ie Dionsysus) and if I recall correctly, it pops up in Sumerian and Egyptian legend. 203.26.16.68 11:10, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
