I would like to make the case for the classes of Star Wars: The Old Republic to have their own character articles. As we get nearer to the release and learn more its clear that what ever gender, what ever species they are they are a defined character in the Star Wars universe. Unlike the Spacer from Star Wars Galaxies, which had the same story no matter the class which only divided depending on which faction the player chose, each class has its own story, its own voice and its own companions.

Take the Sith Inquisitor, for example, he or she (i'm going to continue with he for simplification) starts of as a slave who arrives at the Sith Academy on Korriban for training, he is put in a class of other slave caste force sensitives and the respective Overseer is tasked with selecting one suitable for apprenticeship to Lord Zash. That Sith Inquisitor becomes the apprentice of Lord Zash, he later travels around and Khem Val becomes a traveling companion. Now this is impossible that in Star Wars canon that he this is something that happens to all Sith Inquisitors, this is particular to this one. I realise that unlike KotOR their are far more choices presented, but with his own voice, his own companions etc he is an individual. And further down the line, like with Revan and the Exile BioWare/Lucas Arts may confirm species and gender. Alexsau1991 (talk page) SithEmblem-Traced-TORkit 14:52, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

  • I agree wholeheartedly, and was actually planning on getting around to making such articles when the game gets closer to release (whenever that may be). However, if you would like to get a start, feel free. I would just be careful about putting in too much information regarding the starting storyline, because some of the game information that has been released (gameplay demos at conventions and such) thus far is not necessarily in its final, canonical form. But with that in mind, feel free. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 22:38, May 18, 2011 (UTC)
    • Great, I'm glad you agree. Prior to the games release I planned just to create a stub article, with information gathered from their holonet article - so mention companions, starship. I was wondering what you think I should name the articles. After release their is a good chance we will be able to draw a commonly used name for a nickname (like we did for the Jedi Exile), Since their known by there classes on the TOR holonet I was thinking perhaps that e.g. Sith Inquisitor (Cold War) rather than the generic Unidentified Sith Inquisitor type which is used on unknown and less meaningful characters.
