The result of the debate was choose the Kuat Systems Engineering logo for the GA box on the Main Page. 1358(Talk) 09:46, October 16, 2012 (UTC)
Hey everyone,
Different sections on our Main Page are represented by 20px version of images. Quote of the Day uses (comlink), Random article uses (chance cube), etc. The Featured article uses , the Blastech industries logo. We copied that image over when we put up the Good article queue a few months ago.
So, here's a pretty simple CT --- a proposal to give the Main Page's "Good article" its own image. No one seemed interested in discussing the matter, so I'll just start a vote on the image I proposed: the Tendrando Arms logo, as it would be thematically nice to have both the FA and the GA use the logo of an arms manufacturer. Unfortunately, I can't post a 20px preview of the good-quality vector version since it's an SVG file, but here's the jpeg: . A little bit of whitespace could be cropped from each side to make it bigger. Menkooroo (talk) 00:00, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
Shoot. I was going to nominate Sierpinski's triangle, but it's a starship manufacturer. NaruHinaTalk 04:20, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
Hmmmmm I kinda like that one. Make it a voting option! Menkooroo (talk) 04:21, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
Because I like this one better. The Kuat logo is a bit boring IMO. And I'm a rebel (not to be confused with Rebel). —MJ—War RoomThursday, September 20, 2012, 01:01 UTC
I'm not really a huge fan of either of these, but I suppose this is better than the alternatives. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 01:18, October 10, 2012 (UTC)
My vote's for this one, since it looks kind of like a baby-sized version of the FA icon we use, and because they made C-3PO. OK, Anakin made C-3PO. But they made the parts. ~Savage 00:24, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
Even though Kuat can has triforce, Cybot Galactica looks like scissors. And we need more scissors. Trak NarRamble on 05:55, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
Menk, if you recall, I showed you an image that was meant to be the GA icon. I should try and find it again. JangFett(Talk) 00:16, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
I think you mentioned you had one in mind but never showed me an actual image. Feel free to add it as a voting option if you have it ready. Menkooroo (talk) 03:53, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
Nope, I showed you an image. :P JangFett(Talk) 22:56, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
Maybe the CT could be expanded a bit: Have one vote to choose some icon, then maybe have a few others to choose from? I, personally, would like to see a starship or droid manufacture used instead of a weapons company, but it's really not that big of a deal. But maybe we should do something akin to Mr. and Mrs. Star Wars, with a ton of options and people able to vote for as many as they like. Or is that too much hassle? ~Savage 22:39, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
That was what I hoped would happen in the SH thread, but since no one responded after two weeks, I figured they weren't too interested. Menkooroo (talk) 22:59, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
Well, that's prolly because it's just a vote on the Tendrando Arms icon, which would naturally get a "sure, why not" response. In any other image choice vote we've had, I remmber there being several options, generating debate and opinions. We have a whole category for logos and we have categories for companies that is further subdivided into whatever kinds of company you want, so why not format this vote to be a competition? NaruHinaTalk 01:01, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
Go for it! In fact, I've already encouraged you to do so above. :P The point of the SH thread was to get as many choices on the table as possible, but better late than never. Menkooroo (talk) 03:53, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
We're going to need more than two, though, and if I pick the others, they'll only reflect my taste. NaruHinaTalk 16:37, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
