The result of the debate was to not to create a new user level. –SentryTalk 02:19, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Ive noticed that alot of wookieepedians have been supporting the idea of a new user level. Tell me what you think should be done. Please vote for which you find most suitable. Voting ends in 2 weeks. Details on what should be done with the user levels and what abilities they have if they are made will be decided later. I know im not an admin but i decided to do this anyway. If people vote for a new one ill discuss that with an admin later on what should be done. Roron Corobb 18:00, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

- Support. If we can trust a user with some adminly functions, we should be able to trust that user with all of them. jSarek 10:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

- Some Wookieepedians are wondering about a new user level, (see Senate Hall: We need more admins), this is a place to vote what you think we should do about this. Roron Corobb 18:27, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- You're discussing something here that may not even be technically possible. And even if it is possible, it would have to go through the Wikia staff, not our local admins/bureaucrats. This reminds me of the sort of silliness that goes on over at the Fanon Wikia. -- Darth Culator 18:36, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- This was fine within the other discussion, what you have made here will not help anybody, its inpratical and likely impossible. I don't understand what you were trying to accomplish, a simple tally? Jedi Dude 19:00, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Practical considerations aside (for example, who decides who gets to be a 'trusted user'?), and ignoring the matter of unnecessary complexity, implementing a mutli-user-level system like this would be very difficult. If this functionality could be provided in a MediaWiki extension, which I'm not even sure that it can, that extension would still have to be written, and I'm not sure that Wikia would do that for us. Although I'm sure they're open to requests, they have higher priorities than making custom extensions for individual Wikia. I don't want to rain on your parade here; the idea does have some merit, I just think that both the technical barriers to implementation and the practical concerns once in place block this from really being a viable option. - If we cant make a new user level, then we really should consider just getting more admins. 71.120.34.124 19:56, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
