This page is an archive of a community-wide discussion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made in the Senate Hall or new Consensus Track pages rather than here so that this page is preserved as a historic record. The result of the debate was Enable search suggestions extension for Monobook. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:47, October 28, 2010 (UTC)
Per this discussion, this is a vote to determine whether we want the search suggestions extension, which is already active on the Monaco and "new look" skins, to be enabled for the Monobook skin as well on Wookieepedia.
I like pizza too.--JacktheBlack 04:59, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely, 100% yes. I switched to Monobook a week ago and I really hate the lack of search suggestions. Menkooroo 05:03, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
I thought we used to have it. Was it removed for a reason, or am I mistaken? —Xwing328(Talk) 05:38, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
I'm in Menkooroo's exact position. Suggestions make finding pages so much faster. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 05:40, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Yes please. I honestly don't understand why it wasn't enabled earlier. Tinwe 05:41, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Per Xwing, and per Toprawa. (Supreme, please - the more toppings, the merrier! Just leave off the nasty little fish and the internal organs of artichokes.) jSarek 05:54, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
I survived perfectly well without it, though I can see the need, especially that Monobook is now the preferred skin. Suggestions would cut down on creation of unnecessary articles that vary by a capitalized letter or something. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:01, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Oh and I'll support a skin named Pepperoni, with Mac and Cheese. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:00, October 22, 2010 (UTC)
I rarely use search, but yes. (: --Tm_T(Talk) 06:11, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Definitely. One thing I did miss. --Eyrezer 06:47, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
I hate the editing drop-down suggestions, which refuse to go away unless you use it, but this feature I like. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is the truth) 06:57, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
I thought we had it already. But I guess not (pepperoni's the bomb btw! :P). MasterFred(Whatever) 11:19, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Really, why didn't we have it before? NAYAYEN 11:27, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Keep the artichoke hearts.—Tommy9281 11:46, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
With a side of duh. ~ JMASHey, it's me! 12:08, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Nothing new to add :P , so per everyone above. Cylka-talk- 13:27, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Additionally requesting that the default skin on Wookieepedia be switched to Pepperoni and Sausage. DD97Which bear is best? 14:07, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Minus the sausage. :P MasterFred(Whatever) 14:17, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
definitely. I like green olives on my pizza.<-Omicron 14:59, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Personally, I don't like this feature at all; when I used Monaco I found it annoying and when I switched I actually liked the fact that Monobook didn't have it. But that is not to say that I don't like pizza. Jonjedigrandmaster(Talk) 17:16, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
You guys rock! I pointed it out, thinking it was my PC, and we all chip in and it gets voted! Yay! I loved that feature on Monaco; perfect for figuring out the exact title of weirdly titled articles. Please don't add a third option without discussion first, though I really don't see how there could be a third option on a simple yes/no vote like this. Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 04:48, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Feel free to post on my talk page if/when this passes, and I can enable the extension. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:03, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Will this get rid of that stupid "feature" where the search box redirects to non-mainspace articles without warning (eg typing "I need a name" will return User:I need a name)? -- I need a name (Complain here) 12:37, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
I actually like that feature. MasterFred(Whatever) 12:41, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
No, I don't believe it will. The two don't really have anything to do with one another. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 16:37, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
OK, ummmm....I guess it would be appropriate to close this discussion. We seem to have made a unanimous decision. MasterFred(Whatever) 17:33, October 28, 2010 (UTC)
An admin will do it as soon as they come across it. 1358(Talk) 17:36, October 28, 2010 (UTC)
