I know that the RotS novel says that he dosen't eat... but wouldn't Grievous need nutrition of some kind to keep his organs working?
Maybe his cybernetic frame did that job. Unit 8311 17:07, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
if the novel say's he didnt eat he didnt eat his frame supported him
Although to be fair, the novel says he can't laugh whereas in the movie he does. Unit 8311 17:20, 22 May 2007 (UTC)tooche(excuse my spelling)
Exactly! He does laugh in the movie and actually it says he laughs in the novel as well. By the way, if you can cough (like it says he does in the novel), you most certainly could laugh. What do you mean, his frame supported him? Like Darth Vader's suit?
I think the "General" would need a bit of food to keep him going. His frame does support him, holding him up without muscles, but remember that clever brain of his. It's made of cells, and even if it's cybernetically augmented, it still needs energy. I don't think everyone's favorite droid -*Cough, cough, I am not a droid!* - er, cyborg, eats food because he doesn't have a mouth and can't get it through that mask of his. He probably takes nutrient injections or something. Jedi Master Chief 04:04, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
According to the Episode III Visual Dictionary Grievous uses an ultrasonic vocabulator, so he must be coughing through his respratory intake. Being artificial and ultrasonic it could possibly create sounds that would be impossible to make normally; he may actually be faking his cough. Gasp! I love conspiracy theories! 184.108.40.206 23:50, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Hate to come in, but he couldn't be faking it, in the novel Labyrinth of Evil, taking place right befor EP. III, Mace uses the force to crush Grievous' organs, which partially works, and explains why he was coughing in Ep. III. I think it's stated actually somewhere... Maybe grievous has some sort of device that alows him to insert the nescasary nutrients into his body, hmmmm? Bip Olan Jan. 14
I think his cybernetic frame/armor did that.-- Darth Skirata(Talk) 23:21, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
*Well his frame is a device isn't it? Bip Olan 4:22 P.M. January 15
I mean that his armor would probably have numerous devices that did that in it. (e.g. IV tubes, etc.) I also think that his armor would qualify as a device. It is cybernetic, and therefore it is electronic, and it is a device. It has too many other functions for it to only be "armor."-- Darth Skirata(Talk) 23:32, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Eating isn't the only way to be nutrited (or nutrified?). Maybe his suit could provide him saline solution, or photossyntesis. The possibilities are endless. Stake blackmsg 02:34, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
