Hello fellow Wookieepedians!
I have a few long-thought-about questions on the Grand Army of the Republic.
1)What's the ranking? I mean, are specialists just as high up the food chain as sergeants?
Republic Commando and ARC Troopers: Which one is at a higher rank?
2)Can the normal handy-dandy DC-15A blaster rifle (that big one you see in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones) take out a standard CIS droid in a single shot on normal setting?
3)On the battlefield, working in a team, how many B1 droids was a standard clone in Phase II armor a match for? How many hits could Phase I and II armor take with the normal CIS B1 battle droid blasters?
Thank you for your answers.
I'm not much on an expert on the GAR and clones, but I'll try and answer your questions. To the first one, I suppose it depends on individual soldiers, but I'd say ARCs. To the second, I'd say it depends where you hit the droid--hitting the chest and torso might not do much, but hitting the neck and head probably. To the third, I don't know. Depends on the circumstances. Unit 8311 18:42, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Officially, ARCs, Republic Commandos, and normal clone troopers had the same rank. Then the promotions (sergeant, captain, etc.) come in. Unofficially, trooprs defer to RCs, who defer to ARCs. As for the other questions, I agree with Unit 8311. Darth Skirata 00:06, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Based on available sources, the standard clones and droids are apparently almost equal. They both fall down easily from single shots, though the droids were portrayed as having flimsier construction, to ease the recovery and reuse of their parts. VT-16 13:08, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
