I was wondering how often individuals are born force sensitive. In other words, how rare is it? How many people would you expect to be force sensitive on a populous plant like Corusant? Just a question thats important for a SW RPG I may run, thanks.
The Star Wars Rules Companion claims "There are trillions of beings in the galaxy, yet the number of beings with any ability in the Force is perhaps in the hundreds. The number of potential or latent users of Force powers is perhaps 10 times as large." That number is from the time of the Empire, after the Emperor's agents have purged most Force-sensitives from the galaxy; other timeframes have more. jSarek 02:02, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
There were around 10,000 jedi at the time of the clone wars, and going by JSarek's 10 times latent users statistic, I'd say there were about 100,000 potential force users in the galaxy. On coruscant, there was always 1,000 odd force users in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, plus maybe an extra 150 potential ones. Certain species also have a larger percentage of force-sensitives. see Force-sensitive.Soresumakashi 10:51, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
