In the very beginning of Empire Strikes Back Luke says to Han via comlink "I don't pick up any life readings" and literally thirty seconds later he's attacked by a big ass Wampa that couldn't have been more than fifty feet away when Luke said the "no life readings" comment. Those must've been some really bad sensors, anyone else notice this?

I think it says earlier in the film sensors dont work properly (we know the asteroid field causes interference for ships). This is why R2D2 cant find anything earlier. 184.108.40.206 17:16, November 5, 2011 (UTC)
Wampa hided in cave.
Well, there was a howling blizzard on the horizon, and as mentioned the asteroid belt interfered with sensors. Hoth isn't exactly a friendly environment, and we already know the Rebel technology barely worked there. Evan Flanagan 21:37, November 9, 2011 (UTC)
