In 18 BBY, when Vader sent her to find Jax Pavan on Coruscant, Sing was presumably killed by Pavan, when he dropped her in a "reposticator". From the articles on this wiki, I can ascertain that this took place in the Coruscant underground. My question is: just what is a reposticator? Is it like a garbage disposal or something? She lived, and showed up like 50 years later.
"The machine was a large reposticator, or fabber. It chewed up raw material that looked like sand from a hopper, then laid a sheet of translucent plate onto the roof for a hard, weatherproof coating. The hopper had a safety field that glowed a pale blue, to keep things from falling into the raw-materials bin. Wise, because the fabber would ingest anything that fell into it and restructure the material into its extrusion." From CN:SOS NaruHinaTalk 18:52, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
Cool! Thanks. I wonder how she got out of that fix? Must have been a close shave to make her disappear for 50 years. Ghostmaker 05:34, March 28, 2010 (UTC)
I think she got stuck in a prison or something afterward.. NaruHinaTalk 05:36, March 30, 2010 (UTC)
Aurra Sing's history is a bit garbled. In the comic Jedi: Aayla Secura, she was arrested by Aayla Secura, had her antenna cut off, and was put in prison on Oovo IV. In Hostage Crisis, she was out of prison, antenna intact, despite the fact that timeline reorganization would be Hostage Crisis AFTER Jedi: Aayla Secura (this will somehow be retconned, I'm sure). In Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, she started in prison on Oovo IV, without her antenna (supposedly continuously from Jedi), and was apparently killed (easy retcon: she wasn't killed.) Then she apparently found her way back to prison on Oovo IV, because by Legacy of the Force: Tempest, C-3PO's records showed that she was in prison until the Yuuzhan Vong attacked Oovo IV, and that her record stopped there, meaning she only finally escaped prison upon the Yuuzhan Vong attack on Oovo rougly ten-to-fifteen years before Tempest.
