I was just reading the page on C3PO, and have just discovered that he has apparently 'died'! I presume it is in inverted commas because he could possibly be rebuilt, but, as he has 'died' does he count as the second main character of Star Wars who has dies in the EU, after Chewbacca?

Since the story concerning C-3PO found dead in a cave comes from an issue of Tales it is not confirmed canon. And there is no knowledge when he died so there might have been dead maincharacters between him and Chewie. And I believe Tales were published beforeThe New Jedi Order: Vector Prime so in that way he would have been first maincharacter who has died in EU stories.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 21:01, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
That issue of Tales (#19) with the C-3PO story (Storyteller} was published in 2004. That was five years after Chewie's death, and almost three years after Anakin Solo died. So C-3PO was by no means the first character to die. And the story itself is ambiguously canon (though the article doesn't say so, the article for Tales 19 does, and some other Tales 19 stories are VERY non-canon, like The Rebel Club and Into the Great Unknown.
