Hello everyone! I had a few questions about Padmé Amidala's death and funeral. One, I know it really isn't specified on how she died, and I know this has been discussed numerous times before, but I thought I read on this Wiki that the reason she had died was due to larynx damage done after being choked by Darth Vader. Is this true, because the medics operating on her on Polis Massa were not able to find anything wrong with her (being that they stated, "Medically, she is completely healthy. For reasons we can't explain, we are losing her.")? I mean, their medical instruments would not be able to find anything wrong with her if the cause was the Force, right? I'm sure that things like birth complications, stress, and serious depression would have something to do with it, but various Star Wars books and other sources have stated Darth Vader was the one who killed her. I was just curious, because it seems logical that the Force would have been unseen by the medical instruments used on Padme, so they would not have found any medical complications.
I also had a question about her funeral. It is stated in the Revenge of the Sithjunior novelization that Obi-Wan and Yoda were present at her funeral but were watching from a distance in silence, and could not be seen by anyone. Is this true? Also, was Senator Bail Organa present at the funeral? Thanks everyone! <---Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyitan---> 14:49, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
In answer to your first question, Vader did Force choke her and put her in danger. But, she could have lived through that. She really died of a broken heart. In the movie it says "She has lost the will to live." After seeing Anakin fall to the Dark Side she didn't want to live anymore. Second question, the junior novelization is currently considered canon, so until something proves otherwise, it should be considered accurate. Third, I don't believe that there is any source that says that Organa was there. Cal Jedi(Personal Comm Channel) 19:13, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
