Did Darth Sidious LET Mace Windu disarm him so he would seem helpless when anakin came? Not to take credit away from mace's lightsaber skills, but did Sidious sense Anakin coming and realize that if Anakin saw him with a red lightsaber trying to kill Mace Windu (as opposed to being a helpless old man stuck against the wall) Anakin wouldn't turn to the dark side? Also, did Anakin see the dead bodies of Kit Fisto and the other two jedi on his way there? Would that have brought him to his senses? Also ooalso, although four jedi masters seems to be enough to confront a sith lord, there were plenty of other experienced jedi on Coruscant at the time(Shaak-Ti, etc); couldn't they just send EVERYBODY and overwhelm Palpatine? Perhaps that would've happened if not for episodes 4, 5, and 6. Ewok9007 08:50, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
This is sort of a violation of the no fanon rule, but I'd say that the other Jedi, such as Shaak-Ti, weren't available. Plus, the Jedi weren't really expecting Palpatine to be so good. Remember that Maul was the first Sith that they had seen in about a thousand years. As for the other stuff, I'd say that going much further would be treading on thin fanon ice. Thanks! The mark of a good story is that it leaves you pondering years later.
Apparently Anakin sees Kit Fisto's head sitting on the table in the novel. Force Phantom
