In Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4, Anakin confronts Count Dooku and a number of Magnaguards. The Magnaguards phrik on their electrostaffs is yellow, when it is normally purple. One of my friends told me that this was because the yellow phrik was designed to stun, and that the purple phrik was more lethal. Is this true? --Invinciblenavy 00:12, October 16, 2011 (UTC)Invinciblenavy
- The article does not say which color is more lethal, and remember that in the tcw episode "Cargo of Doom" the magnaguards had purple electrostaffs while torturing Bolla Ropal. Although I no longer keep up with that tcw crap I believe there really is no difference what color the energy is. brightfur (Questions or comments) 01:45, October 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Being that it's animation and the magnaguards also have yellow photoreceptors in that scene, I would call artistic licence. Unless Dooku likes his droids that way to match the lighting in his pad. Ghostmaker 18:57, October 17, 2011 (UTC)
- I see your points however, In "Shadow Warrior", Anakin took a enormous amount of blows from the magnaguard's electrostaff. In season II "Grievous Intrigue", one of the clone troopers is killed by a purple electrostaff in one blow. Furthermore, I saw a Clonewars season 4 preview- I think "Speaking For the troops" with Shock Troopers in what looks like a prison, fighting a trandoshan with yellow electrostaffs. If it was a prison, they would most likely have less lethal weapons to subdue prisoners, in addition to more lethal weapons outside.
