I recently did some reasearch about the TIE/fo space superiority fighter on wikia as well as watching the movie Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens again. Even looking it up in the Visual Guide didn't gave me the answers I was looking for. When Poe Dameron and Finn hijack the TIE/sf from the hangar bay aboard the "Finalizer" they do not have to wear life support suits to use the vehicle. Also in TFA it is clearly seen that FO pilots wear life suppport suits while piloting their TIE/fo's and TIE/sf's. But the Wookieepedia article says that the FO TIE's had life support systems. My question now is if the pilots wearing proper life support suits is just a rudimentary detail or just a "backup solition" in case the fighter's life support systems get damaged? —Unsigned comment by220.127.116.11 (talk • contribs).
It was clarified recently (probably on Pablo's Twitter) that due to the Rebels tv show having the team pilot one without suits, that TIES do in fact have life support and that they wear the flightsuits as backup. So obviously that's true as well for First Order Ties. Corellian PremierThe Force will be with you always 12:28, January 5, 2017 (UTC)
