Just wondering if there's any explanation for Luke crash landing so close to Yoda's location. Thanks. Ghostly Menace (talk) 14:28, October 24, 2014 (UTC)
Life scanner thingy only seems to pick up sentient lifeforms... otherwise itwould be completely useless technology on both hoth and dagobah, but its mentioned twice in the movie. ralok (talk) 22:16, October 24, 2014 (UTC)
Sentient lifeforms only? Would need a source for that. I don't really buy it.
From the script:Luke- I'm not picking up any cities or
technology. Massive life-form
readings, though. There's something
alive down there...

I remember that sentence, and took it to mean "the planet is full of living things." After all, why would he say "massive life-form readings"? I take that to mean "more than one." Particularly since the life-form scanner can't read The Force, and therefore would not register Yoda as anything but an ordinary guy. So I don't think that source qualifies. I have two possible options though: 1- Yoda's house was near the clearest landing area, and so Luke sought that (and crashed near it); or 2- The Will Of The Force.
