Does anyone think this picture was influenced by Nazi Designs?
It's influenced by the long history of Earth propaganda. The Nazis were neither the first nor the last to use this type of design and coloration. Gonk(Gonk!) 14:46, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
There are other things besides this that could are possibly inspired by the Nazis. Take the stormtroopers, which was a name given to the soldiers that led the first crusades of Hitler's regime. Those who are good (the Jedi) are nearly eliminated by Emperor Palpatine (Hitler) and Himler's (Vader equivalent) SS soldiers deal with the rest of them. The surviving Jedi are scattered just like the Jews are throughout many lands. Emperor Palpatine makes himself a deity just like Hitler. The philosophy of the Jedi remain via the holocrons remains just like the Bible remaining. Jewish synagogues and Catholic churches are destroyed= Sidious destroys Jedi Temple. Friends of the Jedi (Alliance) destroy the Empire. America (proponents of liberty just like the Alliance) end the Nazis.
I also find it paralleling that Lucas is inspired theologically by Buddhist beliefs which is the same religion that attributes to the swastika symbol of the Nazis. LordCaedus
