I have a copy of a pre-ESB children's book that is GORGEOUSLY illustrated that I'm trying to ID. In it, Luke, fresh off blowing up the Death Star, saves a Rebel base from destruction via natural disaster (from a comet, meteor, asteroid, or supernova). There are HEAVY romantic overtones between Luke and Leia. To clarify the ambiguities- I remember this 10-15 pg. book from my childhood, my mother recently discovered in the attic of my childhood home and told me how beautiful the illustrations were, then subsequently misplaced it and can't remember the title. I want to ID it and am ready to literally fly home and rip the house apart to find it. I'm sure it has to be rare- I've searched Wookieepedia, etc, and can find nothing like it, and the very nature of the plot and the illustrations are certainly unique. I ask you, fellow fans, to help me ID this book so I can hopefully save myself the task of flying cross-country and ripping apart my childhood home. If I can get the title, perhaps I can put together some research that will entice some friends of mine or even my mother (who probably bought it in the first place) to find it for me. Please help! Could be a licensed Lucasarts product, a giveaway with toys, a foreign market purchase from a yard sale (perhaps likely- grew up in embassy heavy area in DC), I'm not sure. All I know is that it's a gorgeous, anachronistic piece of Star Wars merchandise that I am willing to fly 3,000 miles to recover...PLEASE HELP! —Unsigned comment by184.108.40.206 (talk • contribs).
