In Episode 1, where Qui-gon is leading young Anakin back the the ship to leave for Coruscant, they are attacked by Maul. What I don't understand is, why were they already running? It seems like poor editing on Lucas' part, as there was obviously a reason why they would be running in the desert in the middle of the day. They had just spent several days on world, so time can't have been that tight surely. Is it because they spotted Maul's probe and made a run for it? Perhaps someone who has read the novel or a comic might be able to explain. 50.112.114.33 23:27, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

• It's explained in a deleted scene, Qui-Gon figures out the probe droid is following them so he destroys it, then they start to run. Ressor 12:24, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
