Did the 501st Legion still use Phase II armor after Episode III, or did they simply swap their armor for the plain Imperial Stormtrooper armor you see throughout Episodes IV-VI ? Alexyodaross (talk) 20:15, July 23, 2012 (UTC)

• They still wore clone trooper armor for a while after Episode III, as seen in the comic series Star Wars: Dark Times. Menkooroo (talk) 20:38, July 23, 2012 (UTC)
  • It is arguable for how long though. According to Star Wars: Battlefront II, proper Stormtrooper armor was in use as of the assassination of Queen Apailana, which was not too far after Episode III.   • It kind of depended on the unit though, didn't it? I seem to recall parts of Imperial Commando: 501st talking about how the RCs were switched out to new armour almost immediately after the Declaration. — DigiFluid^{(Whine here)} 17:16, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
• I doubt you can put a definitive time on the entire Stormtrooper Corps changing out it's uniform. In Battlefront: Elite Squadron, you see Phase II armor in a setting on Dantooine, sometime between 17BBY and 15BBY. So both sets of armor were obviously in service concurrently for a number of years, possibly even right up to 15BBY. Why that is isn't explained, but logic suggests, maybe remote area forces didn't rotate often enough to change out, or they just couldn't re-outfit the millions of stormtroopers throughout the galaxy right away.   • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed muddies the water even more, as depending on which version of the game you have, the 501st wear different armor at the exact same event (Second Battle of Kashyyyk (Imperial Period)). In the PS3/360 version, they wear standard stormtrooper armor that has a Phase II visor in the helmet. In the Wii/PSP/PS2 version, they wear a modge-podge of Clone and Stormtrooper armor, with the helmet a custom mix of both. So it's not just that there was a period of time that the armor was phased over, but there were custom versions that existed during the transition. KievanMereel (talk) 17:12, August 1, 2012 (UTC)
