After the fall of the Republic in episode 3, the Clone army went through many changes. New armor, vehicles, ships, ect. But if you think about it, they couldn't just toss all the old equipment away. So what happened to it? But more directly, what happened to the Clone gunships that we all loved so much? If anyone knows, please feel free to fill in the blanks. There is a large amount of the Star Wars story that is not shown in the movies, I like many would like to know more. —Unsigned comment by22.214.171.124 (talk • contribs).
I am assuming that you are referring the LAAT/is. In both Canon and legends, the LAAT/is continued to see used by the Empire, though in legends they were also used by the Rebel Alliance. - AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 06:02, March 14, 2015 (UTC)
While we don't know much, we do know a little. The gunships were still used by Imperial forces in the novel "Tarkin", and in the TV show "Rebels" wreckage of them is prominently shown. Also, after the formation of the Empire many worlds were abused for their resources in order to construct stronger and faster weapons/vehicles, eliminating the need for Republic-era tech. This topic is covered in the novels "A New Dawn" and "Heir to the Jedi". Cwedin (talk) 06:08, March 14, 2015 (UTC)
