The new moive Star Wars: The Clone Wars may possibly have some minor details contradicting the original series, which one will be in canon?—Unsigned comment byNaboo pilot (talk • contribs).
The new one, unfortunately. (See T-canon.) -- Ozzel 02:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Clone wars cant take place in 22bby because anakin isnt a padawan he is a knight.(Was lookin around the newer aarticles)
So what year does it take place in?And if im right someone should change the year.=user:Sith-venator
that's a continuity srewup. I expect someone from lucasarts will change the entire clone wars timeline. Soresumakashi 05:56, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
We'll just have to hope that someone (ie Leland Chee) makes a coherent timeline. Also, I keeping reading people say that it's in 22 BBY because the novelization says Anakin is 20. But according to his page, Anakin was born in 41 BBY. So wouldnt that place it in 21 BBY? Any thoughts?Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith 18:19, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
I dont know it could be the biggest screwup in sta wars hisory???1 day from release!!!-Sith-venator
I really hope it doesn't change Asajj's and Durge's endings (Star Wars: Obsession) And the other stuff that happens in the comics. JediNTT307 04:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Ok guys, here's what I'm thinking: People have said that in the novelization, Anakin's age is stated as 20. I propose that, since in the movie this is never explicitly said, and since other facts in the movie question this, that we take that as an approximation. Like "I'm already this awesome at 20!" as an exaggeration; he's a tad older (yes I know that isn't how it was phrased). Instead, let's actually look at the facts that we do know (contains SPOILERS):
Things that have already happened (lower limits):
-Anakin is a Knight (after Jedi Trial)
-Anakin has his eye scar (I don't know when this happened)
-Asajj Ventress is known, and has her two red lightsabers (after the first cartoon)
-Venators are in use (I don't know when these were commissioned)
-Grievous is there (after Clone Wars Adventures 3, 6 months post-Geonosis)
-The armor looks weird. Not quite Phase II, but also not quite Phase II.
-Munificent-class Frigates were in use (don't know when these first appeared).
Things that have yet to happen (upper limits)
-Obi-Wan still uses a Delta-7 (I don't when Eta-2s were started)
-ARC-170s and V-Wings were not in use. (see above)
-Asajj Ventress is still around (before Obsession)
-The Outer Rim Sieges have not yet begun.
If anyone can add to this, please do.
Also, regarding the age: it didn't appear in the movie. If the other facts disagree with it, then I think it should be treated the same way as a deleted scene.Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith 14:25, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
The 20 years old thing is probably just a screw up. Novels make mistakes. JediNTT307 02:56, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Venators were 1st seen in 20bby .Phase 1 was replaced by phase 2 in 20bby.Anakin is a knight in 20bby?treepio turned gold right befor anakin's knightship. My guess movie should really be 20bby instead of 22bby.
You guys aren't getting that this is more than just the movie. There is an entire TV series and publishing campaign going alone with this, most of which we haven't seen yet. The Powers That Be have made it clear that they're going to be compressing the timeline to accomodate this. So expect all the dates and times that have come before to be off. jSarek 01:58, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
