Wondering if anyone has a more in depth explanation as to why he became evil. I know why he turned to the Dark Side, and I understand why he betrayed and hated the Jedi, but I just read Coruscant Nights:Jedi Twilight and in the book Vader is exactly as we remember him from the Original Trilogy, a really evil guy. But about halfway through the book I remembered that it only takes place a couple months after ROTS. I don't get how Vader became so evil so quickly, he was force choking and threatening people throughout the whole book, yet just two months ago he was a young Jedi Knight who just wanted to save his life. Like I said, I know why he turned to the Dark Side, but I just don't understand how his whole persona changed just two months after he got his suit.
Consider this my young padawan. Anakin Skywalker loved his wife so much he chose to do away with the entire jedi order, to save her life. He then becomes responsible for her actual death. Trust me, he is a bitter and twisted unit from the get go. Just as the man was passionate as Skywalker, so to was his jaded embittered hatred as Vader equally as powerful. He'd already gone past the point of no return by killing younglings. The only way was down for him unfortunately. Poor guy.40 Year Old Virgin 00:08, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
Because the Jedi are evil. They kidnap babies. One time they took someone because they believed that the parents died. The parents were alive and wanted their child back and the Jedi refused to give their child back. He was trying to fight fire with fire. 184.108.40.206 05:05, December 5, 2011 (UTC)
Only from a certain point of view. Karohalva 19:25, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
That is correct. My point of view is that in the Holonet News article I just mentioned, what the Jedi did was wrong. One could argue that it is evil. They didn't care about the family. The family did not want to lose their child that theyy love. The Jedi refused to return the child. It is wrong to take away a child from a family that cares about them. It is poor treatment of people. 220.127.116.11 03:32, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
There is, however, no evidence that Skywalker knew of this incident; therefore, it can be discounted as a reason for his fall. Karohalva 15:12, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
