Aren't the Anakin Solo, Stealth X, and TIE Reconnaissance Fighter violations of the Pellaeon–Gavrisom Treaty? —Unsigned comment byJACEN500 (talk • contribs).
As far as I can tell, the StealthX and the TIE Reconnaissance don't have cloaking devices, just really good stealth systems. The Anakin Solo does, and so could violate the treaty. But I'm thinking that a) subsequent treaties overwrite the Pellaeon-Gavrison Treaty, or b) the treaty may not actually bind the GFFA (which is, after all, a different body than the NR, which for all intents and purposes no longer exists as of LOTF/FOTJ). Never directly read the books, but I do know enough to say Cloaking Devices and stealth countermeasures are two separate banthas. One is invisible tasting, the other is simply odorless to a hostile scanner. If you read the earlier battles between the New Republic and Imperial Remnant, Cloaking devices play a large role in very stressful warfare which is definitely gives a good reason for their prohibition.188.8.131.52 22:31, February 14, 2014 (UTC)
