Could modifications on a blaster change it's color of shot (red to green, green to blue, etc) or was it set and unchangeable? Ewok9007 09:35, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
- A plasma blaster was used by the Grand Army of the Republic because it was more effective against droids. Most other blasters used a high energy particle beam. I think the blue color of the shots from a clone's blaster would be linked to the type of bolt. Green and red are most likely characteristic of particle beam bolts. As for being able to modify a blaster's color, I don't really know. brightfur (Questions or comments) 16:16, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! In that case, the plasma blasters must have used the same (or similar) technology as the gungan energy balls. Is there any account of the republic taking a page from the gungans, so to speak? 67.80.96.25 17:23, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
- I can't seem to find any case of BlasTech Industries ever copying them. Also the Boomas used a type of blue plasma found in the depths of naboo's oceanic core. It is unlikely that it was the same plasma (although it was probably similar). A DC-15S blaster used charged plasma bolts which were very effective vs. droids. The plasma used by the blastech weapon still doesn't seem to be quite as effective as the plasma found on Naboo. Also, a blaster has been shown to be able to be modified to enhance it's power on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. However I still can't find any way to modify a blaster's color. brightfur (Questions or comments) 05:07, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
