can anybody help me - I'm trying to work out what calendar would have been BEFORE the Battle of Yavin. So, for example, what year would it be in common understanding AT the Battle of Yavin, as it wasn't until 25 years later that BBY/ABY came into use?
Thanks. —Unsigned comment by Wildwizard (talk • contribs).
- Before the adoption of the BBY/ABY notation, the in-universe calendar had the year of the Great ReSynchronization (35 BBY) as its starting point. (Of course, this is only valid in the so-called Legends continuity.) --LelalMekha (talk) 17:59, May 17, 2015 (UTC)
- Also the Treaty of Coruscant was used as an epoch. BTC was Before the Treaty of Coruscant and ATC was After the Treaty of Coruscant. This dating system began in 3653 BBY. --JesseStarfall (talk) 23:45, May 22, 2015 (UTC)
- According to the Thrawn Trilogy, the rise of the Empire was used as an epoch during Palpatine's rule. --MBrody 16:01 May 26, 2015 (UTC)
