Why is it that so much "Canon" material has entries listed as "Legends"? I mean, if all source material is from the films or the Clone wars/Rebels animated shows....... it's not part of the EU, Right?? —Unsigned comment byDarth-Mynockk (talk • contribs).
Anything that existed before the announcement of the new canon continuity gets a Legends page because, at the time, it was part of the EU. For example, Luke Skywalker may be part of the new continuity, but his story also encompassed all of the stuff with Mara Jade, having a child, etc., that was only ever Legends. Similarly, even Clone Wars stuff that only ever existed within Clone Wars before the split still gets an entry in order to be linked from other Legends pages. Make sense? Oh, and theoretically anything Rebels that never appeared on anything else shouldn't have a Legends page, though there have been occasional exceptions for stuff that was released on those rare Legends product lines that are still continuing, i.e. Lothal/Legends.
